Timberman Triathlon is coming up!

This event has gotten bigger every year! Lake Winnipesaukee is the perfect venue for the triathlon. We will have many athletes staying with us and we love to cheer them on! We’re hoping to have Brian McCall stop by who specializes in bike tuning to check out anyone’s bike should they need an adjustment. If you are still looking for a place to stay for that weekend, we do have a couple of rooms left. Weirs Beach is only 6 miles from the starting point of the competition!

Thinking about Fall Foliage

I know you’re probably thinking to yourself – it’s not even August yet, why are we talking about Fall??? Well, we just want to plant the seed. If you love the Fall and love fall foliage, then you should think about joining us. The Lake Winnipesaukee area is breathtakingly beautiful when the leaves are in full color. So, a sweet suite or a cozy cottage can be waiting for you should you decide to see the foliage.  Take our advice, don’t wait till the last leaf has fallen from the tree!

It’s not too late…

With the summer half over, you maybe thinking that it’s too late to get in a summer vacation – not true! If you’re flexible; we’re flexible. Looking for a cozy cottage to relax in or a room with a view? We’ve got it…want to be near Lake Winnipesaukee and take in all the Weirs Beach activities…we are… So don’t think it’s too late…it’s never too late!

Busy, busy, busy!

Whew! We have been so busy around here! Bike Week just ended, we’re now hosting our Nascar Race crowd and when they leave, our July 4th vacationers will be here! I’m very pleased to say that people are still taking vacations despite the “doom & gloom” in the news.  Our cottages are filling up fast for the summer. People have discovered Weirs Beach and the Lakes Region is the place to vacation!

Summer is here!

Memorial Day weekend was beautiful…warm and sunny. It signals the beginning of the summer season and we’re very excited! We’ve been “fluffing & buffing” all spring for our guests and we’re very pleased with the results. It seems like everyone in Weirs Beach has been doing the same. So, you know what that means…you’ve got to plan a vacation trip to Weirs Beach and Lake Winnipesaukee to see for yourself!

Glamping

I mentioned a few blogs back that we were “in” as far as lodging trends go, and lately the media has been featuring stories on “glamping.” For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept – it’s “glamorous camping.” This is where you rent a completely furnished tent – with carpets, plush duvets, crisp sheets and warm blankets. Some of the glamping packages, depending on the part of the world you are exploring, start at $4,100/person and offer activities include fishing, boating, horseback riding etc. If you want, you can upgrade to a cottage that will have electricity and indoor plumbing of its own…Again, we’re trendsetters – we’ve been glamping for years!

Spring is finally here!

Ice Out occurred yesterday evening and that makes it official – Spring has finally arrived in the Lakes Region.  With the warm weather we’ve had the past week or so, the daffodils are blooming, the grass is turning green and our magnificent magnolia tree is about to burst into full bloom. It’s a beautiful sight to see. Along with that, we are busily getting the cottages opened up and ready for occupancy. We are looking forward to seeing you!  Come on up…spring is in the air!
