Ice Out occurred yesterday evening and that makes it official – Spring has finally arrived in the Lakes Region. With the warm weather we’ve had the past week or so, the daffodils are blooming, the grass is turning green and our magnificent magnolia tree is about to burst into full bloom. It’s a beautiful sight to see. Along with that, we are busily getting the cottages opened up and ready for occupancy. We are looking forward to seeing you! Come on up…spring is in the air!
This is a follow-up to our recent blog about “Shedding your Chains.”
I was recently perusing the April issue of People Style Watch magazine – yes, one must keep up with the latest trends. In their magazine feature, “What’s In/What’s Out section, I found a very exciting “What’s Out.” According to Laura Begley, Deputy Editor of Travel & Leisure, “Cookie-cutter “boutique” hotels look like they could be anywhere” are definitely “out.” Well, we are definitely not “cookie-cutter.” How cool is it that! We are so “In”!
Coming to the Laconia Nationals, Rod, Custom and Muscle Car Show? We understand Jim Cande has put together the best event yet. Everyone in town looks forward to this outstanding display of some of the hottest cars on the planet. We especially enjoy seeing these cars parked on Lakeside Avenue here in Weirs Beach, it just looks oh so right.
This annual Memorial Day automotive extravaganza is rapidly becoming one of the premier events of its kind and is a great opportunity to see these fantastic cars and meet their imaginative creators.
Don’t have a car? Not to worry, everyone is welcome, so come on up. Having the Laconia Nationals in town is fun for everyone; why not include the show for a holiday summer kick off weekend in Weirs Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee?
